On July 26, 2004 icCoventry reported, "North Warwickshire MP Mike O'Brien visited a Hindu temple in London built by the Sri Lankan community to highlight the contribution made by Hindus in the UK. Mr. O'Brien was invited to the Durga Temple in Ealing with 250 delegates from Hindu organisations across the UK. He said the government was committed to religious freedom and saw the benefits of a multi-cultural Britain. He also said he would raise the plight of Hindu Kashmiri refugees with government."
