On September 4, 2005 The Montgomery Advertiser reported, "Jessica Brown and her classmates don't always see eye to eye when it comes to topics centered on religion. Brown, 17, a senior at Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School, has been enrolled in Catholic schools since kindergarten. But she's grown up in AME Zion Church. Even when they don't agree, Brown always has faith she and her peers will respect each others' differences, so they can gain a better understanding of varying points of view. In fact, she says it's through open and frank discussions that she and her fellow students discover how much they actually have in common... Brown is like hundreds of students in the tri-county area who attend Christian schools who do not share the religious faith the school is affiliated with. But she, like many -- including those who are members of the school's governing denomination -- say they embrace their school's religious diversity."
