On February 27, 2004 The Missoulian reported, "Muslim cultural understanding will be the focus of an upcoming event sponsored by the University of Montana. During the week of March 8 -14, UM's Muslim Student Association and the Office of International Programs will host a weeklong program called 'Expanding Horizons.' Events will include educational programs and activities aimed at strengthening community relationships between Missoula Muslims and the greater Missoula community."
