On July 9, 2003 The Daily News Tribune reported that "highlighting the often unseen Hub interfaith cooperation, a Newton [MA] synagogue, undergoing a $2 million overhaul, recently donated its old furnishings to a Brockton Baptist church... As Temple Reyim began undergoing a major facelift, synagogue officials donated pews, an organ and other items to the Restoration Community Baptist Church of Brockton according to temple vice president B. David Stollar."
