On February 19, 2004 The Gazette reported, "Whether you're Catholic or Baptist, Muslim or Buddhist, you can probably agree on one thing: Prince George's County children deserve better schools. The Interfaith Action Communities encourages residents of all faiths to set aside prejudices and preconceived notions to improve local education. By combining resources and talent, participants across the county can give students a solid start... About 50 churches and houses of worship are involved with the IAC. The group encourages its members to work closely with nearby schools by tutoring students, assisting teachers in classrooms and serving in other roles."
