On October 21, 2004 The Boston Globe reported "For years, members of this Shi'ite Muslim community have had to celebrate Ramadan and their other religious services in space provided to them by two non-Muslim religious organizations in Chelmsford: the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church and Congregation Shalom synagogue. Now, they have a place of worship of their own a new mosque in Billerica...In a special open-house event, dozens of people from the church and synagogue toured the Dawoodi Bohra's religious complex off Rangeway Road and its two most prominent buildings the mosque, which is named Qutbi Masjid, and the religious school building next to it, named Madrassa-e-Vajihi. The entire group of buildings, named the Ajab Complex, also has a residence for the imam, the religious leader who conducts prayers and worship."
