On November 3, 2003 The Daily Press reported that "governor James Doyle has proclaimed November Wisconsin lnterFaith In Action Month to honor the work of over 60 Faith In Action Interfaith Volunteer Care-giving programs and neighborhood sites throughout the state. Interfaith volunteers provide tens of thousands of hours of assistance each year with transportation, shopping, errands, chores, friendly visits, telephone reassurance, minor home repairs, and respite care... Groups may focus on elderly people, disabled adults and children, troubled teens, pregnant single women or people with AIDS. Some projects have a multiple focus. Interfaith volunteers are caring people of any age or faith (or no particular faith) who seek personal fulfillment by giving of themselves to people in need of help."
