On June 13, 2005 The State reported, "About 70 people took the first step Sunday in what they hope will be a long and fruitful series of interfaith dialogues and discussions. 'Let’s Talk — An Open Community Forum on Jewish, Christian and Islamic Relations' featured a Chicago-based Muslim woman editor, as well as educators, community members and leaders from around Columbia. Meeting in Eau Claire, they touched on the role of women in Islam and the treatment of Muslims in the United States, as well as how different faiths confront each other."
