On July 11, 2005 the Laramie Boomerang reported, "Whenever an attack like Thursday’s subway and bus bombings in London happens, it wounds Laramie’s Muslims.

'People are very hurt. People from the Muslim community called me immediately,' Laramie Islamic Center President Zafar Dad Khan said. 'Nobody in the Muslim community is happy about this. We have such sympathy for the people in Britain.'

Unfortunately, the broad brush of 'Islamic Terrorists' is occasionally used to paint the entire faith, but Khan and the nearly 45 members of the Laramie Islamic Center are committed to their religion and to denouncing those who profane it by murdering in the name of God.

'We need to act shoulder to shoulder, regardless of religion, and work together to denounce whoever did this,' Khan said."
