On July 8, 2005 an Muslim Public Affairs Council Press Release reported, "In a press conference with interfaith leaders and law enforcement officials held in Los Angeles today, officials from national American Muslim organizations demonstrated their united stand against terrorism and interfaith leaders encouraged members of all faith communities to do what they can to prevent a backlash against American Muslims... Attendees present at the conference included captains from the Orange County Sheriff Department and representatives from the FBI and the office of Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez.

MPAC also contacted British law enforcement officials, who recently traveled to the U.S. to learn more about MPAC’s National Grassroots Campaign to Fight Terrorism."
