A federal bankruptcy judge admonished leaders of the Hindu Temple of Georgia and their attorneys Thursday, threatening prison time and attorney sanctions if they continue to make outlandish claims and conceal information from the court.

The founder of the Norcross temple, Annamalai Annamalai, is still filing lawsuits, intercepting mail and negotiating with creditors on behalf of the temple, effectively ignoring court orders that have stripped him of that power, said an attorney for the trustee.

U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge James E. Massey said that federal investigators should be notified that Annamalai may be concealing property from the trustee, who is a neutral party appointed to settle the affairs of the estate. Such behavior would be in violation of federal law which can result in fines and up to five years in prison.
