On May 17, 2003 the Dallas Morning News reported that, according to leading Muslim organizations, the term Judeo-Christian does not "describe the values and character that define the United States... Sharifa Alkhateeb of the Washington-based Muslim Education Council says 'Judeo-Christian' is outdated but doesn't think 'Judeo-Christian-Islamic' is inclusive enough."
