A conference on Islamic-Christian dialogue concluded in Khartoum recently with the participation of a Jordanian delegation led by head of Jordanian Interfaith Coexistence Research Center (JICRC) Father Nabil Haddad.

The conference held under the title "Sustaining Peace and Promoting National Unity" discussed a host of working papers and case studies on peace experiments and religious coexistence in Africa, the Arab world, Europe and the US, according to a statement released by JICRC.

In a working paper presented to the conference Father Haddad talked about "Amman Message" as an example to be emulated in promoting the spirit of tolerance and religious coexistence.

Amman Message was issued by His Majesty King Abdullah II in November 2004 with the aim of highlighting the noble values of Islam as a religion based on tolerance, peace, mercy and justice for all.
