On November 11, 2004 The Daily Telegraph/AAP reported, "A Jewish community organisation has condemned a racist arson and graffiti attack on a Turkish community college in Melbourne's north west. The B'nai B'rith Anti-Defamation Commission (ADC) said today commission members were shocked and saddened by the fire and vandalism at the Isik College in Broadmeadows. Police said the fire that caused about $600,000 damage to the Islamic school in Goulburn Street, Broadmeadows, started about 12.40am (AEDT) today."
