Jaina Convention to Take Place in Downtown Cincinnati

On July 2, 2003 the American City Business Journals reported that "three thousand followers of the Jain religion are expected to meet this week in Cincinnati for the Biennial Jaina Convention... According to a news release, Jainism is a religion originating in India that follows the principle of ahimsa, or nonviolence in thought, deeds and action. The organization Jaina was formed in 1981 to provide a forum for followers to talk and exchange ideas, and it now consists of 61 member centers in North America."
