On November 25, 2003 the Palm Beach Post reported that "the purchase of a small private school has doubled the amount of property owned by the Islamic Center of Boca Raton. The center bought the 3.36-acre Clerisy Academy property earlier this month... The purchase of an existing school building allows the center to focus on its main priority, which is building a mosque for about 500 Muslim families in the Boca Raton area. William Gralnick, southeast regional director of the American Jewish Committee, said. 'I welcome religious diversity, but if (anti-Semitic) teaching materials were being used, I would scream bloody murder.' In the past, Gralnick has been a critic of statements made by some of the speakers at the Islamic Center and links to anti-Semitic statements on its Web site."
