On April 14, 2006 The Student Life News at Pomona College reported, "On Thursday, April 6, students from across the 5-Cs [California state universities] participated in an interfaith service for Rwanda and Darfur at the McAlister Center. The event was organized by the Coalition for Darfur, a 5-C student group advocating for Western intervention in the Sudanese region of Darfur. The group invited representatives of the 5-C Baha’i, Christian, Jewish, and Muslim communities to share their thoughts on past genocides, as well as the unfolding situation in Darfur."
