On September 7, 2005 delawareonline.com reported, "In 1980 it was rare to find education classes at one's house of worship teaching about another faith. That's why the Interfaith Lay Academy was born. Over the years it's been possible to learn about Christianity, Hinduism, Islam and Buddhism as well as topics such as dreams, talked about in most faiths... This fall marks the 25th anniversary of the Interfaith Lay Academy in New Castle County, with classes on women of the Bible, faith and culture, experiences of revelation, superstition and the Bible, and the benefits of interfaith dialogue."
