At Interfaith Gathering, Religious Figures Pray for Success of Elections

On April 4, 2004 Antara reported, "Six religious figures representing Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism and Confuciounism, conducted prayers in their respective ways for the success of the 2004 general elections. These figures on behalf of the Indonesian Committee for Religions and Peace chaired by Din Syamsuddin performed their prayers at Borobudur Hotel`s National Tabulation Center on Sunday. Also present at the occasion were Susongko, deputy general secretary of the General Elections Commission (KPU), Chusnul Mar`iyah, KPU members and Theopilus Bella, secretary general of the Indonesian Committee for Religions and Peace."
