On September 23, 2002 the Worcester Telegram & Gazette reported that "the Framingham couple... [Kayed and Amy Khalil, a Palestinian Muslim and an American Jew]... recently celebrated their 10th anniversary and are raising three children. They will speak about their life as a Muslim-Jewish couple at 7:30 tonight at the Shrewsbury Public Library [MA]... Mr. Khalil said that he and his wife generally see eye to eye politically, and both believe that people are basically the same, despite religion. They hope their marriage shows people that, they said."
