On January 11, 2006 the Times Snohomish County Bureau reported, "From Baha'is to Baptists, the Martin Luther King Celebration Choir is composed of all races and many faiths, from most parts of Snohomish County. And county residents are invited to the choir's once-a-year concert Sunday in honor of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at First United Methodist Church in Everett. It's a roof-raising selection of six smoothly blended voicings of gospel and folk tunes, accompanied by the Rev. Greg Jackson on keyboard and other musicians on guitar and drums. Last year, more than 250 people attended the free event, sponsored by the Interfaith Association of Snohomish County... Over the years, the Martin Luther King Celebration Choir has grown to include Baha'is and those of some other faiths, about 25 people in all."
