On July 3, 2003 India Cause reported that "IndiaCause sent formal letter to the President of Gold Medal Hosiery, Mr.Paul Rotstein... [regarding] a product (socks with 'OM') distributed by Gold Medal Hosiery in New York." Mr. Rotstein replied, "Gold Medal Hosiery in New York, which distributes the offending socks, declined to comment. The label on the socks says the product has been made in South Korea. They have been designed by New Yorker Linda Maddocks."
