An area of land at Hull Village Cemetery with space for 50 graves will be reserved for use by mixed faith couples involving a Jewish and non-Jewish partner.

Selectmen this week voted to approve the designation.

Town Manager Philip Lemnios said the proposed area of 50 grave sites was jointly recommended by him and officials of Temple Beth Sholom.

As a result of discussions, the synagogue agreed to cover certain costs, including surveying and installing a hedgerow, Lemnios said.
