A Sikh soldier based in Hounslow this week urged fellow worshippers to maintain their 'proud tradition' of helping the Army.
Private Ranvir Singh, who has spent the last four years living in Hounslow, is fronting a drive to improve representation in Britain's armed forces among black and ethnic minority groups.
The 26-year-old - who joined the Territorial Army last November, seven years after serving in Bosnia fresh out of school – visited the Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, in Hanworth Road, Hounslow, on Tuesday (May 18) to help spread the message.
