The city's Holiday Display Task Force was created to address issues of religious diversity when it comes to holiday displays on city property.

One task force member found it ironic, therefore, and somewhat offensive that one of the task force meetings would fall on the Jewish New Year, according to an e-mail sent to task force members Wednesday by City Manager Darin Atteberry.

The City Council approved forming the task force to address the controversy in the past two years over a request by the Chabad Jewish Center of Northern Colorado to include a menorah in the city's official December holiday display.
