On July 1, 2006 Hinduism Today reported, "For the fourth consecutive year, the Shri Venkateswara Bhajana Maala (SVBM), will be celebrated in Eau-Coulee, on the island of Mauritius, Indian Ocean. This unique puja is dedicated to the glory of Lord Shri Venkateshwara Swami, also known as Balaji swami or Govinda. It has been scheduled for July 30, 2006. The SVBM is unique in the sense that it is celebrated according to the Vaikhanasa Aagama Shastra and at the same time incorporates modernism. The puja is held at the Shri Venkateshwara Aalayam in Eau-Coulee, a traditional Dravidian temple (Telugu)."
