More than 50 children from Blacktown and surrounding areas attended a camp to learn about their culture in Carlingford last week.
The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP)'s Youth Foundation Children Day Camp was held at a Scout hall.
It was organised by parents to enrich the life of their children aged from five to 15 years with Hindu traditions and culture.
These parents living in Blacktown, Parramatta, Penrith and the Hills district came from India, Sri Lanka, Fiji, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa and Indonesia.
A spokeswoman said the camp was aimed at promoting Hindu culture, traditions and their heritage to children especially those born in Australia.
