The Hindu Society of Eastern Washington has 11 new hand-carved religious sculptures that will be available for the public to view today and Sunday.

The free exhibition also will feature photographs taken in two ancient Hindu temples in India, along with folk and classical dancing and a drum demonstration.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hindu Society's community center on Bombing Range Road in West Richland.

"All of this is to impart some awareness to our community (about) Hindus," said Sri Naidu, a leader in the society who helped acquire the sculptures.
