Gurudwara Holds Interfaith Meet In Chicago

Gurudwara Sahib of Chicago took initiative in organizing an interfaith meeting to remember and pay homage to the victims of Mumbai attacks. It was attended by over 200 from the cross section of society including local politicians and community leaders. Congresswoman Jan Schakowski, Alderman Joe Moor, Assistant State attorney Ketki Shroff, Sikh community leaders Balwinder Singh and Dr. Harjinder Singh Khaira, Art of Living spokesman Vinesh Virani and former AIA president Nand Kapoor were present at the occasion.

Jane Schakowski in her brief address deprecated senseless killing of human beings and observed that she would take up the concern of all right minded people to the newly set up Intelligence committee of which she was a member. Terrorism should not be allowed to reap any benefit or gain, she said.
