In celebration of Ohio's religious diversity, Gov. Ted Strickland is calling religious and community leaders throughout the state to join him for an interfaith luncheon.

At the March 5 event in Columbus, the governor will recognize the good works of faith-based organizations and introduce a new Call to Action program.

Call to Action asks religious and community activists to establish and seek volunteer recruiters for a host of social-service programs dealing with youth and poor people.

"It's time to come together in common purpose and work for the common good," Strickland said in a prepared statement.
