The fire at the Sikh Temple in Reno was intentionally set late Monday to cover up an attempted burglary, Reno Fire Department investigators believe.

Investigators continue to look into the case and ask anyone with information to call Secret Witness at 322-4900.

Temple members have cooperated to help find the suspects and evidence at the scene is being tested for fingerprints at the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office crime laboratory, the fire department said in a statement.

Josh Vestal, who lives just behind the temple at Locust and East Second streets, also had his home burgled at around the same time.
