A local Muslim leader's efforts against terrorism have caught the eye of the U.S. Department of Justice.
Imam Yayha Hendi is head of the Islamic Society of Frederick.
For more than seven years now his organization has been helping to increase awareness about the Muslim culture and fight terrorism.
His efforts are now being honored by the FBI. He's been recognized as the Community Leader of the Year.
