On April 24, 2003 the Civil Liberties Digest reported that "to improve relations with the Arab American community, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) established the first Arab American Advisory Committee and appointed Dr. James Zogby as a member... The committee, which will meet on a monthly basis, will be the link between the FBI's Washington Field Office and the Arab American community by bringing their concerns to the FBI’s attention and by circulating necessary information from the FBI to the Arab Americans regarding new policies and regulation that fall under its jurisdictions."
