On April 7, 2003 the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported that "three FBI agents appeared at a Mountlake Terrace mosque [WA] Friday as evening prayers were drawing to a close. But they weren't there to interrogate anyone. Rather, it was the agents who faced the questions of an anxious Muslim community... About three dozen men sat on the carpeted floor of Masjid Omar Al-Farooq facing east toward Mecca as Zafar Naseeb introduced Special Agent in Charge Charlie Mandigo of the FBI's Seattle office... 'We know it is very stressful when an FBI agent comes out and knocks on people's doors,' said Mandigo. The purpose of the visits was to 'identify people who might have information valuable to the United States for the war on Iraq...' No one in the state has been arrested as a result of the interviews, said Mandigo."
