A court decision requiring newly elected directors of a Sikh Temple in Yuba City to provide their addresses, phone numbers and e-mails to other directors was upheld Wednsday by a state court.

The Sacramento-based 3rd District Court of Appeal upheld the decision by Sutter County Superior Court Judge Brian Aronson and turned down arguments that the information requirement invaded privacy rights.

A 2008 election at the temple brought new directors. Director Sukhraj Pamma had sought their contact information.

"It's a very good ruling," said Jaswant S. Bains, who contends newly elected directors have hijacked the institution and extended their one-year terms to four years.
