On July 16, 2002 Yahoo News reported that "a man who told authorities he fatally shot an Arab-American man partly because of anger over the Sept. 11 attacks has been sentenced to life in prison... The victim, [was] Ali M. Almansoop, 44, of Dearborn," Michigan, who immigrated to America from Yemen 30 years ago.
