On January 15, 2005 The Daily Item reported, "in an effort to promote religious tolerance, the Community Alliance for Respect and Equality and Beaver Memorial Church, Lewisburg is offering a diversity program Sunday at the church. Organizers hope the event will dispel the illusion that the Central Susquehanna Valley residents are only Christians and help remove the barriers to greater religious tolerance."
