The lack of civility in our society is obvious to anyone listening to the radio, television and sometimes, each other. Wouldn’t it be great if we could just shut off the noise…and try the approach of respectful dialogue…of listening…of learning from one another…of trying put oneself in another’s shoes?  Festival of Faiths is a local organization attempting to promote respectful dialogue and greater understanding in the arena of religious faith.

Festival of Faiths was organized in 2005 following a Visiting Scholar event at Village Presbyterian Church. Several attendees were particularly inspired by Harvard professor Diana Eck who spoke about “A New Religious America: How a ‘Christian Country’ Became the World’s Most Religiously Diverse Nation.”
