On September 28, 2005 a Reliance IndiaMobile press release reported, "India's largest private sector telecom Company Reliance Infocomm has launched the sacred Mukhvak audio clip service on Reliance IndiaMobile's R World suite of data applications... The Mukhvak is a holy directive picked out every morning by the Granthis from Shri Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book of the Sikh community, in every Gurudwara Sahib across the world. The Mukhvak that is read from Shri Harimandir Sahib - the Golden temple, the most sacred Sikh shrine in the World - is revered by the community. Launching the service, Mr. Himanshu Kapania, CEO, Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, Reliance Infocomm, said 'An audio clip of the Mukhvak will now be available from 8 am daily on all R World-enabled Reliance IndiaMobile handsets, including the entry level black and white and colored phones. The clip will also convey the meaning and give the page number reference of Shri Guru Granth Sahib. In addition, Reliance IndiaMobile subscribers can access the previous day's Mukhvak on R World.'"
