On November 30, 2005 the India Post reported, "Vermont Gurdwara in collaboration with several other Gurdwaras California wide, celebrated Guru Nanak Devji’s birthday at the Los Angeles Convention Center on November 27. The magical day was marked by prayer and langar as thousands of proud Sikhs joined to celebrate the respected Guru Nanak’s birthday... The coordinator and organizer of the birthday celebration, Sarbjit Singh stood proud as the LA Convention Center filled with thousands of happy faces.
