The Hindu Temple and Cultural Center of USA is set open a new entrance to take traffic off a residential street.

Temple officials will host a ribbon cutting 10 a.m. Saturday at the new entrance off Route 202-206, near Old Farm Road. The new entrance has a light, a designated left turn lane for northbound traffic and a designated lane for southbound traffic entering the temple, said Bapineedu Kuchipudi, the temple's vice chairman. The temple's main entrance had been on Old Farm Road.

"What we are trying to do is make the traffic better so we don't have to use Old Farm Road," Kuchipudi said. "It will take some pressure off Old Farm Road."

At Board of Adjustment meetings on the expansion Old Farm Road, residents complained about the amount of traffic and parking.
