On November 16, 2005 The London Free Press reported, "The London Baha'i community is bringing prominent gender equality expert Elizabeth Wright to London for four workshops. Wright, the Canadian director of the Baha'i Office for the Advancement of Women, located in Quebec City, kicks off her London seminars with a public meet-and-greet tomorrow afternoon, followed by a discussion involving males and their role in gender equity in the evening. Local organizer Terry Poirier said more than 100 organizations have been contacted to participate in tomorrow night's discussion. 'It's important for men to be aware that equality is part of their work as well,' said Poirier, a member of the London Baha'i Task Force for the Equality of Women and Men. She said a society that has gender equality serves the interests of both sexes. Poirier said Wright's engagements are part of local Baha'i efforts toward community outreach and networking. 'We're hoping to find common ground with the people of London.'"
