On April 19, 2006 U.S. Baha'i News reported, "The Religion Communicators Council (RCC) gave an Award of Excellence in the Internet Communications: Website category to www.bahai.us in the council’s 2006 DeRose-Hinkhouse competition. Launched in December, www.bahai.us is the newly redesigned official website of the Baha’is of the United States. 'It’s especially gratifying and confirming to be recognized for excellence by a national interfaith organization of professionals in the area of religious communications,' said Ellen Price, assistant director of the National Spiritual Assembly's Office of Communications and national vice president-elect of the RCC. 'We hope that the site becomes a valuable source of information and inspiration for those who visit.' The RCC, which has about 600 members throughout the United States, also gave six other Awards of Excellence and five Certificates of Merit to Baha'i publications. They include the children’s magazine Brilliant Star, the scholarly journal World Order, a historical book about Green Acre Bahá'í School, a children's activity book about Green Acre founder Sarah Farmer, and a public information booklet, The Baha'i Question, on the danger to Baha'is and Baha'i holy sites in Iran."
