The vandalism of bus signs supporting atheists shows the prejudice nonbelievers face, the campaign's organizers said Monday.
The signs, which read "Don't believe in God? You are not alone," were defaced on three SMART buses over the weekend. In each instance, the word "Don't" was torn off or scratched out of the signs.
"We can't forget how much prejudice and bigotry there is against us,"said Ruthe Milan, coordinator for the Detroit Area Coalition of Reason.
