On April 17, 2004 The Arizona Republic reported, "A group of about 100 people, representing numerous faiths, gathered Tuesday at the Arizona Capitol to share their stories of religious bigotry and their ideas on how to combat it. The event was put together by the Anti-Defamation League, the National Conference for Community and Justice and the Arizona Interfaith Movement. Paul Eppinger, executive director of the Interfaith Movement, promised that suggestions on fighting religious bias would be 'put into action.' Participants talked about vandalism to their places of worship, rude remarks at their workplaces and verbal and physical assaults in public places."
