On June 18, 2002 Yahoo News reported that Fatiha Gentzler, a "Muslim woman, filed a discrimination lawsuit against the Breakers [a Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida] after she was fired from her job as housekeeping supervisor at the luxury hotel on Sept. 12... 'We don't want someone like her working here,' a human resources supervisor said, according to the lawsuit filed Monday. Officials at the famed Palm Beach hotel denied the charges... Gentzler, a native of Morocco, is a U.S. citizen. She wore the hotel uniform rather than traditional Muslim garb but spoke openly about her religion at work and would fast when working on holidays, Scott said."
