American Muslim Taskforce Hosts Town Hall Conference in Queens

On September 3, 2004 the Independent Press Association reported, "the American Muslim Taskforce on Civil Rights and Elections (AMT) held a media conference and town hall meeting regarding the upcoming presidential elections last Sunday in Long Island City. The organization’s goal: to 'inform, engage, and obtain oral and written input from Muslim community members,' said conference organizers. The meeting was the fourth trip to New York in the last four months for AMT leader Agha Saeed... Speaking at the August 29th afternoon conference, AMT Chairperson and American Muslim Alliance President Agha Saeed spoke about the role that the Alliance and the Taskforce play in seeking qualified candidates that can best represent Muslim voters."
