On May 27, 2005 The Gazette reported, "the Air Force’s top general sent a message to commands worldwide this month, reminding commanders to be sensitive to religious diversity. The message was triggered by allegations of religious bias at the Air Force Academy and it could signal the service’s suspicions that religious bias exists throughout the Air Force. In the message, Gen. John Jumper outlined Defense Department and Air Force regulations and cautioned against overbearing expressions of personal beliefs. Jumper’s message was issued Tuesday — three weeks after a task force was announced to look into the academy allegations and four days after its preliminary findings were reported to him and acting Air Force Secretary Michael Dominguez. A final report is expected to be made public in a couple of weeks."
