On February 6, 2006 the University of Louisville reported, "The University of Louisville will offer a six-week film festival and discussions focusing on the importance of dissent in civic and cultural life.

The 'Season of Dissent Film Festival' will offer short films, feature films and documentaries in Floyd Theater at U of L’s Swain Student Activities Center. The festival is part of 'Dissent!' a community series of events... Also as part of Dissent!, three activists challenging their religious traditions will be panelists for a free, public documentary screening and discussion Feb. 15 on 'Transforming Tradition: Women, Faith and Dissent'... The 42-minute documentary, 'Acting on Faith: Women’s New Religious Activism in America,' is a Harvard University Pluralism Project production that looks at three U.S. women (Buddhist, Hindu and Muslim) whose faith, activism and identity are intertwined.

Afterward, the discussion will feature the Rev. Johanna W. H. Van Wijk-Bos, director of the Women’s Center and Dora Pierce Professor of Bible at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary; Paula Gill Radmacher, a member of the Voice of the Faithful Roman Catholic lay group formed in response to clergy sexual abuse; and Susan Weiss, divorce law activist and director of the Center for Women’s Justice and Yad L’Isha in Jerusalem."
