Le Temple D’Olohoum is a Vodou temple led by Mambo Marie-Florence Jean-Joseph. The Temple focuses on creating a physical, mental, moral and, most important, spiritual environment for the practice of Vodou. The foundational belief of the temple lies in the Great Olohoum, the Creator of the universe, omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent, who governs the universe through the angels, the "mistè," or "zangn," the supernatural found everywhere throughout the world.

The mission of the Temple is to provide a safe haven for worship and religious observance according to the principles of Haitian Vodou; to foster the Haitian Vodou identity of youth; and to enhance the spiritual, mental, moral and physical welfare of all members and the surrounding community through various religious activities, cultural celebrations and social events.  Members strive to keep their community closely-knit, safe, and healthy, and is working to making the world a better place to live.

The Temple offers a deep and emotional experience through its weekly services, holiday celebrations, and life-cycle events.  Participants seek to practice and live Vodou in its true essence, in its clearest and simplest form.

The group's Sunday evening prayer services are open to anyone interested in joining.  Spiritual consultation and services are also available; however, an appointment is required. Anyone interested in attending a service or an appointment can call 718-776-4691 or email letempledolohoum@aol.com.
